Course Overview:
Animation and Digital Media Level 5 consists of competencies that an individual must achieve to animate. It entails Drafting animation script, performing hand drawing, developing animation audio, creating animation storyboard, composing scene environments, developing 2D animation, modelling 3D characters, editing animation render and creating digital graphics.
Assessment
The course will be assessed at two levels: internally and externally. Internal assessment is continuous and is conducted by the trainer who is monitored by an accredited internal verifier while external assessment is conducted by accredited external assessors appointed by TVET CDACC.
Certification
A candidate will be issued with a National Certificate of competency on demonstration of competence in a unit of competency. To attain the National qualification animation and digital media Level 5, the candidate must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency as given in qualification pack

Requirements
- Attained KCSE with a mean grade of D (PLAIN) Or
- Animation & digital media National Certificate Qualification Level 4 Or
- Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) Or
- As may be guided by relevant regulatory body
