Craft Certificate Social work and Community Development – TVET CDACC Level 5

Course Overview:

The Social work and Community Development Level 5 qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to enable him/her work in the social work industry. It involves conduct social research works, performing psychosocial support, conducting social policy formulation and public administration, managing project resources, conducting community awareness activities, conflicting resolution and management, performing home-based care and support, carrying out child welfare programmes, managing community-based groups and conducting community crisis and disaster sensitization programmes.

Assessment 

The course will be assessed at two levels: internally and externally. Internal assessment is continuous and is conducted by the trainer who is monitored by an accredited internal verifier while external assessment is the responsibility of TVET CDACC.

Certification

An individual will be awarded a Certificate of Competency on demonstration of competence in a unit of competency. To be awarded National Certificate in Social Work Level 5, an individual must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency
