Course Overview:
The Diploma in Accountancy aims to develop, downstream and intermediate level accounting personnel capable of preparing various statutory returns and reports that support value addition of the accounting profession to the private and public sector organizations.
The course imparts knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to prepare financial and management accounts and financial statements for small and medium sized enterprises and compute basic taxes for a business.
The course is aimed at persons who wish to qualify and work as middle level accountants providing technical support to professional accountants, auditors, tax practitioners and related areas:
Assessment
The course will be assessed at two levels: internally and externally. Internal assessment is continuous and is conducted by the trainer who is monitored by an accredited internal verifier while external assessment is the responsibility of TVET CDACC.
Certification
A candidate will be issued with a Record of Achievement for each Unit of Competency. To attain the qualification National Diploma Level 6 in Accountancy, the candidate must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency as given in the qualification pack. These certificates will be issued by TVET CDACC in conjunction with training providers.

- Accountancy Certificate Level 5 or
