Course Overview :
Diploma in Insurance level 6 qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to enable him/her to effectively develop underwriting framework, develop insurance marketing framework, develop insurance claims framework, manage insurance unit and conduct research on insurance.
Assessment
The course will be assessed at two levels:
- Internal assessment: conducted continuously by the trainer (internal assessor) who is monitored by an accredited internal verifier.
- External assessment: conducted by an accredited external assessor who is monitored by an accredited external verifier.
The assessors and verifiers are accredited by TVET CDACC which also coordinates external assessment.
Certification
An individual will be awarded a Certificate of Competency on demonstration of competence in a unit of competency. To be awarded National Certificate in Insurance Level 6, an individual must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency.

Requirements
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C- (minus) Or
- Certificate Level 5 in Insurance technician Or
- Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) And/or
- As may be guided by relevant regulatory body
