Certificate in Insurance – TVET CDACC level 5
Course Overview:
Insurance level 5 qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to enable him/her to effectively provide insurance awareness, underwrite insurance risk, process insurance claims, generate insurance business and implement customer care policy.
Assessment
The course will be assessed at two levels:
- Internal assessment: conducted continuously by the trainer (internal assessor) who is monitored by an accredited internal verifier
- External assessment: conducted by an accredited external assessor who is monitored by an accredited external verifier
The assessors and verifiers are accredited by TVET CDACC which also coordinates external assessment.
Certification
An individual will be awarded a Certificate of Competency on demonstration of competence in a unit of competency. To be awarded national Certificate in Insurance Level 5, an individual must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency.

- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D (plain) Or
- Certificate Level 4 in related course Or
