Course overview

The Craft Certificate in Accounting at Jolearn Training College is a 1 year KNEC-examined programme for learners seeking recognised training in Accountancy. Develop practical accounting competence in financial reporting, costing, taxation, auditing, business finance and supporting commercial law. Students develop practical and analytical skills through progressively organised course units and projects. The programme prepares graduates for entry-level employment, career advancement and further study in the same or a related field.

At Certificate level, students build a strong practical foundation and learn how core ideas are applied in day-to-day work. The structured modules develop technical knowledge, communication, problem-solving and workplace readiness while preparing learners to progress confidently to Diploma study. Students study through the available Full-time, Part-time, Online and Self-Paced options, subject to the timetable and practical requirements of each unit.

On successful completion, graduates can pursue opportunities such as Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper, Audit Assistant, Tax Assistant. The qualification also provides a route to Higher Diploma, Degree, ATD or CPA professional studies.
